Public service & aviation
From 2008 to 2023 I worked as an air traffic controller and union leader, helping keep complex airspace safe while mentoring new controllers and navigating large-scale organizational change.
Anthropology & everyday life
Now I’m studying how culture, history, and power show up in everyday life in Latin America—from bilingual family life in Colombia to rural communities and Afro-Colombian histories.
